I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
